Who we are
Birthday Chorus LLC is a Florida limited liability company. Christopher Mosquera is the sole member. The live website is birthdaychorus.com.
What we collect
- Chorus details you type in: the recipient’s name, song language, optional birthday and due dates.
- Names and optional contact (organizer email today; card details later if we add Stripe checkout).
- Video and audio recordings of people singing, and their likeness — how they look and sound on camera.
- Invite and Watch link tokens so friends can join and anyone with the gift link can watch.
- Technical data the server needs to run (for example request logs, device/browser basics, and timestamps).
How we use it
We stitch takes into one short gift video and deliver it on the Watch page. We use link tokens so people you share with can open the gift during the window below. We may use technical data to keep the service secure, debug problems, and stop abuse. We may look at aggregated, de-identified patterns to improve the product.
We do not sell your videos.
Who can see a gift
A Watch link is shareable — more like an unlisted video than a public gallery. Anyone who has the Watch token can play (and download) the finished video while it is still online. We do not list gifts for the open web to browse. If a link is forwarded, those people can open it too, until the video is deleted.
How long we keep media
- Finished gift video: about 30 days after it is ready to watch, then we delete the file. Download it if you want to keep it.
- Raw karaoke clips: about 7 days after a successful Generate, then we delete those takes.
- Never generated: if a chorus sits idle, we purge it about 30 days after last activity (create, join, or record).
- Backups and logs at our hosting providers may lag a short time after we delete files from the app.
Kids
Birthday Chorus is for people 13 and older. Don’t create a chorus or record a take if you are under 13. If we learn someone is under 13, we delete their data and stop contacting them.
Storage and security
Clips and finished videos live in private storage (not a public bucket you can browse). In production we serve the app over HTTPS. Our hosting and database providers encrypt data at rest. No internet service is 100% secure — treat Watch links like a gift you are handing someone, and download a copy if it matters.
Your choices
- Download the finished mp4 from the Watch page while it is still available.
- Request deletion of a chorus or recording — the self-serve path is still TBD. For now, use the contact below.
